In 2008, department faculty members received four new externally funded grants for projects including the study of an emerging sign language, agreement universals, perception of foreign language sound sequences, and on-site Russian language training. Exciting ongoing collaborations include research with colleagues in psychology and computer science, and language, mind, brain courses.
