Middle Tennessee State University
The department offers the MA and PhD degrees in economics. The PhD is an applied program with specializations in financial economics, labor economics, and economics of education. Assistantships with tuition waivers are available in both the MA and PhD programs. There is no foreign language requirement.

Southern Illinois University Carbondale
The Department of Economics at Southern Illinois University Carbondale has the only endowed chair in the University, the Vandeveer Chair in Economics. It is currently held by Professor Sajal Lahiri, who is an internationally known and respected scholar in international and development economics. The Department is ranked 83rd in the world in terms of research in trade and economic development. It is ranked 48th in the world in terms of research on international trade/factor movements.

Stony Brook University, State University of New York
The Center for Game Theory in Economics holds an annual Game Theory Festival, which is attended by internationally prominent researchers in game theory and economics and open to graduate students. University of California, Riverside
The University of California, Riverside, 60 miles east of Los Angeles, offers undergraduate and graduate degree programs in economics. The graduate program offers PhD and MA degrees in preparation for research and teaching as well as for positions in government and the private sector.
