Clinical Psychology
Midwestern University, Downers Grove Campus Midwestern University is committed to educating the health-care team of the new century. The University administers the Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine, the Chicago College of Pharmacy, the College of Health Sciences, the Arizona College of Osteopathic Medicine, and the College of Pharmacy-Glendale. The University operates campuses in Downers Grove, Illinois, and in Glendale, Arizona. The Clinical Psychology Program offers an MA/Doctor of Psychology (PsyD) degree on the Downers Grove campus. The four-year curriculum incorporates didactic courses, practical experiences, internships, and a clinical dissertation. The Master of Arts degree is awarded after the successful completion of the first two years of the program, and the Doctor of Psychology degree is awarded after two additional years of study. Stony Brook University, State University of New York The Clinical Psychology Program was identified in 2001 by U.S. News & World Report as one of the top 10 clinical psychology doctoral programs in the US. In 1999, Stony Brook was the first program in the country designated ‘‘Outstanding Clinical Training Program’’ by the Association for the Advancement of Behavior Therapy.

Northwestern University Students interested in developmental psychology (including life-span), personality, or community psychology may wish to pursue a PhD in this interdisciplinary program, which brings together scholars from psychology, sociology, economics, policy studies, and human development. The HDSP program focuses on how various social contexts—including families, schools, communities, and social policies—shape individual lives as they develop from infancy to old age. HDSP graduates obtain teaching and research positions in colleges and universities or work as policy analysts and program directors in the public or private sectors.
Experimental Psychology
Stony Brook University, State University of New York Cognitive/Experimental Psychology faculty members play a prominent role in running major journals in the field. Forensic Psychology
Roger Williams University Roger Williams University is one of only a handful of academic institutions to offer a graduate degree focused specifically on forensic psychology. Southern Illinois University Carbondale The revitalization of the faculty is one of the most exciting recent developments in the department. Ten new faculty members have been hired since 1996—bringing exciting new research programs in relationship violence, agent-based models of sensorimotor cognition, computational modeling of learning, health psychology, and prevention of delinquency.
Social Psychology
