Microbiology

This program is designed to provide training in molecular genetics and biochemistry of microbial systems. The department pioneers research in many areas of molecular biology involving bacteria, yeast, parasites, and mammalian systems. Major areas of interest include gene expression, growth control, host-pathogen interactions, and DNA replication, mutagenesis, and recombination.
