Carnegie Mellon University The PhD program addresses policy problems in which technical details are critically important by using tools of engineering, science, and the social sciences. Carnegie Mellon offers an excellent environment for interdisciplinary research. Program requires the equivalent of an undergraduate degree in engineering, physical science, or mathematics. Environmental Management and Policy
Stony Brook University, State University of New York The Department of Technology and Society in the College of Engineering and Applied Sciences offers a Master of Science in Technological Systems Management Program with a concentration in energy and environmental systems. The program emphasizes principles of environmental systems analysis, risk analysis, modeling and simulation, energy systems analysis, and environmental and waste management for business and industry.
University of Oregon The Environmental Studies Program is supported by a full range of graduate-level courses offered by over 100 faculty members in many disciplines. The program offers a flexible, explicitly interdisciplinary, largely student-designed program that attracts exceptionally strong students, many of whom have nonacademic environmental experience (employment, volunteer work, internships, Peace Corps). Environmental Sciences
Southern Illinois University Carbondale SIU's Environmental Resources and Policy PhD Program provides interdisciplinary perspectives regarding public policy and social institutions that shape reactions to environmental issues. The degree is organized by the Departments of Geography and Geology and the College of Agriculture, in cooperation with the School of Law and College of Engineering.
Washington State University The School of Earth and Environmental Sciences awards separate MS degrees in environmental science and geology and separate PhD degrees in environmental and natural resource sciences and geology. These degrees can be pursued at the Pullman, TriCities, and Vancouver campuses.
