Carnegie Mellon University
The Master of Science in Information Security Technology and Management (MSISTM) provides an in-depth education in topics such as networked and distributed system security, secure software engineering, operating system security, and applied cryptography. The focus is complemented with core courses in management and information security policy and other topics chosen as electives for the effective management of secure information and networked systems.

Engineering and Applied Sciences--General

Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology
Graduate programs leading to the MS degree are available in engineering management, as well as biomedical, chemical, civil, electrical, environmental, mechanical, and optical engineering. These programs have areas of emphasis in both design and research and offer the graduate excellent preparation either for industry or for further graduate study.

Southern Illinois University Carbondale
The College of Engineering offers four unique concentrations under the Engineering Science PhD Program: civil and environmental engineering, electrical and computer engineering, mechanical engineering and energy processes, and mining and mineral resources engineering. More than thirty laboratories are housed in a new building and support various research projects. These labs include advanced friction studies, ceramics processing, composite materials, biomedical, VLSI design and test, imaging and nondestructive analysis, pattern recognition and signal processing, mechatronics, power systems and power electronics, gaseous electronics, laser electronics, and mineral processing. Research is supported by two in-house research centers: Center for Advanced Friction Studies and Materials Technology Center.

University of South Florida
Master's and PhD degree programs are offered in biomedical, chemical, civil, computer, electrical, environmental, industrial, and mechanical engineering; computer science; engineering management; and engineering science. Teaching and research assistantships are available to qualified students. Extensive student computing and laboratory facilities include vector and multiprocessor systems and advanced workstations.

Wayne State University
Wayne State University is located in the heart of one of the world's greatest manufacturing centers, and the College of Engineering maintains extensive relationships with the many large industries in the Detroit area.
