BIOMEDICAL ENGINEERING AND BIOTECHNOLOGY
Biomedical Engineering
Southern Illinois University Carbondale The new Master of Science in Biomedical Engineering program has been established at Southern Illinois University Carbondale in 2008. Four colleges (Engineering, Science, Agricultural Sciences, and School of Medicine) are participating. Four concentration areas are available: bioinformatics and computational medicine, modeling and simulation of biomedical processes, biomedical imaging, biomedical instrumentation, and biomechanics and biomaterials.
The University of Tennessee Health Science Center The Joint Graduate Program of the University of Memphis and the University of Tennessee Health Science Center offers graduate education at the master's and doctoral levels in biomedical engineering. Participation by both universities provides 16 primary faculty members and strengthens the program via secondary faculty members in many disciplines. Primary faculty-member disciplines include biomaterials, biomechanics, tissue engineering, electrophysiology, bioimaging, and sensors.
