Cross-Discipline Announcements

Carnegie Mellon University
Carnegie Mellon's MS and PhD programs in robotics are highly research oriented and interdisciplinary in nature, drawing from such fields as computer science, electrical and computer engineering, and mechanical engineering. Students may specialize in machine perception, artificial intelligence, manipulation, autonomous vehicles, manufacturing automation, or other areas.

Mechanical Engineering

Southern Illinois University Carbondale
The MS in mechanical engineering degree program provides advanced study in energy, energy from gas and liquid coat conversion, catalysis, mass and heat transfer, computational fluid dynamics, thermal science, thermal systems design, solar systems design, chemical and biochemical processes, air pollution control, mechanical systems, computer-aided design, composite materials, and ceramics and tribology. Students and faculty members conduct research in the College of Engineering's many state-of-the-art laboratories and research centers, including the Center for Advanced Friction Studies, the Coal Research Center, and the Materials Technology Center.

Stony Brook University, State University of New York
In recent years, the Department of Mechanical Engineering, along with the University, has taken its place among the most respected graduate institutions in the United States. The Department has both a talented faculty and state-of-the-art research facilities that allow the student to be on the cutting-edge of developments in many chosen fields of study or concentration. Motivated applicants are invited to join us.

University of California, San Diego
