Medical Physics
Stony Brook University, State University of New York In the treatment of diseases and the discovery of new cures and new methodology for diagnosis, physics goes hand-in-hand with medicine. This concentration, in conjunction with the biomedical engineering program, integrates these theories seamlessly. Students involved in study and research in this concentration are on the front line in the quest to advance human life.
University of Minnesota, Twin Cities Campus This interdisciplinary program provides research training and experience in biophysics, medical imaging, magnetic resonance imaging and spectroscopy, radiobiology, and radiation therapy physics. Thirty-one faculty members from eleven departments provide diverse opportunities for multidisciplinary research. A strong undergraduate physics background is desirable. Limited financial aid is available.
