STEP ONE: Log on to www.petersons.com and select "Financing Education" on the left side of the page.

STEP TWO: Choose the first option, "Scholarship Search."

STEP THREE: Register. Youll need to enter basic information, including your name, e-mail address, street address, graduation date, and, of course, a username and password.

STEP FOUR: Enter your criteria. To narrow your search, you will be asked to enter information such as your citizenship, your first language, GPA, hobbies, civic organizations, employment/volunteer experience, the size, type and location of the school youd like to attend, and your expected major. This step should take about 15 minutes.

STEP FIVE: View your results. Once you have entered all your criteria, click the "View Your Results" button to access a list of scholarships that might be right for you. You can then click on any award name to learn how to apply. List too large? Too small? Click on the "Change Your Search Options" link to modify your criteria.

STEP SIX: Come back soon. If you run out of time and need to log off, you can return at any time simply by returning to the "Scholarship Search" page and entering your username and password.
