Location: Atlanta Metropolitan College is located in the dynamic city of Atlanta, which is known as the cultural and economic mecca of the South. The city of Atlanta provides an array of social and cultural activities. Professional ball games, theaters, concerts, art galleries, fine restaurants and malls are accessible by the public transit system and can be found all over the metropolitan area. Places of interest include Georgias Stone Mountain Park, Martin Luther King (MLK) Jr. Center for Nonviolent Social Change, MLK Jr. National Historic Site, the Antebellum Plantation, Six Flags Over Georgia, and Carter Presidential Center Museum and Library. The campus is located one mile west of downtown Atlanta.
HISTORY
Atlanta Metropolitan College (AMC) is a state-supported, two-year, coed liberal arts college established in 1974. The original name, Atlanta Junior College, was changed to AMC to more accurately reflect the school's programs. The campus is situated on 57 acres of rolling hills. The school takes pride in providing support to its students through the Academic Support Center and the Devise of Learning Support Division. It offers several joint programs with Atlanta Technical Institute. AMC is part of the University System of Georgia.

Entrance Requirements: Graduation from an accredited high school (or equivalent) and completion of the following units: 4 English; 3 Mathematics; 3 Science; 3 Social Sciences; and 2 Foreign Languages; high school transcript. A $20 application fee is required.
Admission Application Deadline: July 15 (fall priority). The deadline is 4 weeks before the start of registration.
Graduation Requirements: A minimum of 66 semester hours and completion of the core requirements, including one mathematics and one computer science
