SEVIS Final Deadline Approaching
The final deadline for institutions enrolling foreign students using F or M nonimmigrant visas is fast approaching. Approved institutions have until August 1, 2003 to enter all current and/or continuing students into the SEVIS system. These are students who had paper I-20s issued previous to this date, and who did not have a change in status that would have required a new I-20 form to be issued. Any previously enrolled student using a paper I-20 who had a change of status should have been entered into SEVIS at the time the change of status occurred. As of August 1, 2003, all foreign students in the United States must be entered into the SEVIS system, and any and all changes, corrections, or additions must be made through SEVIS.
