Electronic Perkins MPN Available

The Department of Education, in its continuing effort to simplify procedures for institutions and students and move more functions on-line, has issued an electronic version of the Perkins Loan Master Promissory Note (MPN). Institutions choosing to use the eMPN are encouraged to review the standards for the use of electronic signatures in Title IV programs.

The Perkins eMPN, as well as the electronic signature guidance, are available on the IFAP website at http://ifap.ed.gov/dpcletters/CB0313.html.
