New FFEL Forms Available

The Department of Education has released new Federal Consolidation Loan Application and Promissory Note forms for use by lenders and guarantors participating in the Federal Family Education Loan Program (FFEL). These forms may be used immediately; they are the only forms that will be accepted after June 1, 2004.

Institutions will want to familiarize themselves with the new forms to provide students with the best information available about consolidation loans under the FFEL programs. The updated forms, released with Dear Colleague Letter GEN-03-13, are available for download from the IFAP website at http://ifap.ed.gov/dpcletters/GEN0313.html
