Tentative Campus-Based Funding Levels Available

Institutions participating in the campus-based federal student aid programs for the 2004-2005 academic year may access their tentative funding levels on the eCampus web site at http://www.cbfisap.sfa.ed.gov/CBSWebApp/welcome.jsp. The campus-based aid programs include the Federal Perkins Loan Program, Federal Work-Study (FWS), and Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant (FSEOG) programs.

Funding levels are determined via a formula set in the Higher Education Act (HEA) and the campus-based program regulations. In some instances, institutions may have lower funding amounts than in previous years. This may result due to an institution returning more than 10% of the previous year's allocation of Perkins, FWS, or FSEOG funding. The Secretary, however, may waive this provision if it is not in the best interest of the institutions. If your institution¿s 2004-2005 allocation is reduced due to this provision, you may apply for a waiver through FISAP.

Instructions for accessing your institution's tentative allocation and for applying for a waiver if your funding amount is reduced are available on the IFAP web site at http://ifap.ed.gov/dpcletters/CB0401.html.
