CCA's 2003 Leadership Institute, held July 24 - July 29 at
the National Conference Center in Landsdowne, VA, proved to
be an extremely successful program. With an attendance of
36 participants and 16 experienced speakers, everyone walked
away with new ideas and a rejuvenated spirit. All aspects
of school administration were covered including: Business
Planning, Leadership, Admissions, Education, Student Services,
Retention, Financial Aid, Legal Issues, Placement, Teambuilding,
and much, much more!
The attendees, with experience in proprietary education ranging
from 25 years to brand new to the industry, came from as far
away as California and Puerto Rico to make it to the annual
6-day "boot camp" for school directors and up-and-coming directors.
Heres what some attendees had to say about the experience.
"As a result of attending the Institute, I am re-focused
and re-enthused."
Karen Finkenkeller, ITT Technical Institute, Earth City,
MO
"I have learned more in six days here than my last six months
back home."
Gregory A. Rosten, Aakers Business College, Fargo, ND
"It was a fantastic experience. After today (my school)
has a new Director of Education, 6 days changed my professional
life. Thanks to my boss that sent me.
Jose A. Gonzalez, Liceo de Arte y Tecnologia, Hato Rey,
PR
"A great conference!"
Ron Hearns, National Institute of Technology, Houston,
TX
This institute was the most phenomenal experience. As someone
new to this industry, this program has equipped me with practical
knowledge and understanding.
Dan Weiss, MedVance Institute, West Palm Beach, FL
Career college presidents and owners have already shown
interest in sending their employees to next year's Institute.
Since there is a limited number of spaces, it will be critical
to register early. Promotional materials for the 2004 CCA
Leadership Institute should be distributed in February. Watch
