Barry University Offers a Variety of Bachelor's and Seamless B.S.-to-M.S. Degree Programs

Barry University offers the Bachelor of Arts degree in advertising, art (art history, ceramics, graphic design, and painting and/or drawing), broadcast communication, communication studies, English (literature and professional writing), general studies, history, international studies, music, philosophy, photography (biomedical/forensic and creative), prelaw, public relations, Spanish (language and literature and translation and interpretation), theater (acting, dance, and technical theater), and theology.

The Bachelor of Science degree is offered in accounting, athletic training (premedicine, pre - physical therapy, and a five-year seamless B.S.-to-M.S. program), biology (general, marine, and preprofessional ), cardiovascular perfusion, chemistry (biochemistry, environmental chemistry, predental, premedical, prepharmacy, and pre-veterinary science), computer information sciences, computer science, criminology, elementary education, exercise science (premedical, pre - physical therapy, and a five-year seamless B.S.-to-M.S. program), finance, information technology, international business, management, marketing, mathematical sciences (computational, general, and statistics/actuarial science), medical technology, physical education (grades K - 12), political science, psychology (industrial/organizational), sociology, and sport management (diving industry, golf industry, and a five-year seamless B.S.-to-M.S. program). Business programs also offer five-year seamless bachelor's-to-master's tracks.

Barry University also offers the Bachelor of Science degree in nursing, the Bachelor of Fine Arts (art and photography), the Bachelor of Music (instrumental performance; sacred music; and voice, opera, and musical theater), and the Bachelor of Social Work.

The Campus in Miami, Florida, Offers More Than 100 Academic Programs

Barry University enrolls more than 8,500 students in over 100 undergraduate, professional, graduate, and doctoral academic programs. There are about 3,000 undergraduate students and 2,600 graduate students who attend class on Barry's campus in Miami.

The Wireless Campus Provides a Safe, Secure Environment for Students

The university's Department of Housing and Residence Life (HRL) works to create a learning environment on its Miami campus where the student feels cared for and has many opportunities to excel in academics, as well as grow personally. HRL provides students with safe, secure, comfortable, and clean environments where students can live, learn, and serve. There are study lounges in every residence hall, and students' rooms are equipped with a telephone land line. Laundry facilities are also available for use, free of charge.

Barry University provides students with Internet access in every residence hall room, and the entire campus offers wireless capabilities. There are computer labs throughout campus and the school is also equipped for remote access, so students who live off campus have access to the university system.

There are four dining facilities on Barry's campus, including the main dining hall on the second floor of the student union. Barry University provides its students with a large recreational center that houses basketball, volleyball, and badminton courts, intramural sports, and the varsity basketball team. The campus also features a fitness center with state-of-the-art equipment, a tennis center, multipurpose fields, a mirrored showroom for wellness activities and dance programs, a recreational pool, game room, and a sand volleyball pit.

Barry University Uses Rolling Admissions

To apply to Barry University, prospective students must complete an application; submit official transcripts from all postsecondary and secondary institutions; and submit all applicable testing results, including but not limited to TOEFL scores. Students must provide official English translations of all submitted documents. Students should also be sure to check the academic requirements for their intended area of study.

International transfer students who are not U.S. citizens or legal resident aliens may apply if they have at least 12 transferable credits from a regionally accredited university or college.

Applications to Barry University are accepted on a rolling basis, but it is in a student's best interest to apply as early as possible so as to allow time for immigration processing.

After a student is accepted, he or she must pay an enrollment deposit, provide Barry University with proof of financial support; submit a Transfer Eligibility Form (if he or she is transferring from another U.S. institution); and pay a housing deposit (if he or she would like to live on campus).
