Brown Mackie College offers 7 career-focused areas of study which include nursing, healthcare and wellness, business and technology, legal studies, veterinary technology, early childhood education, construction trades and construction trades. These programs are offered at over 25 locations nationwide.

Brown Mackie College offers a wide variety of associate's degree programs in each of these 7 career-focused areas of student. Students may earn diplomas that require less courses and provide them with skill sets they need on-the-job, or they may pursue certificates needed for their desired vocations.

Nursing Area of Study

Brown Mackie College-Findlay offers both Nursing and Practical Nursing programs. The Associate level degree programs are designed to prepare graduates to sit for the National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX) for Registered Nurses. Passing the exam allows graduates to seek employment as registered nurses (R.N.s).

Graduates of the Diploma programs in Practical Nursing are prepared to site for the National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX) for Practical Nurses.

Brown Mackie College does not guarantee third-party certification/licensure. Outside agencies control the requirements for taking and passing certification/licensing exams and are subject to change without notice to Brown Mackie College.

Healthcare and Wellness Area of Study

Brown Mackie College-Findlay offers a wide-range of associate degree programs and diploma programs in the field of healthcare and wellness. Associate level degree programs are offered in Pharmacy Technology and Surgical Technology. Brown Mackie College-Findlay also offers an Occupational Therapy Assistant Associate degree program.

Students may also receive diplomas as Medical Assistants.

Business and Technology Area of Study

Brown Mackie College-Findlay students may pursue Associate level degrees in Business Management.

Legal Studies Area of Study

Brown Mackie College-Findlay offers an Associate level degree program in Criminal Justice.

Veterinary Technology Area of Study

Individuals seeking to fill the growing demand for veterinary technicians in clinics, animal hospitals, and laboratories can complete an Associate level degree in Veterinary Technology at Brown Mackie College-Findlay.

Manageable Education -- One Course One Month

Brown Mackie College has introduced a unique approach to making education more manageable: a class schedule in which students take one course each month. Students don't have to worry about juggling the demands of multiple courses and can concentrate on one subject at a time. The one course per month schedule helps student balance their studies with their other life responsibilities.

Community Involvement

The common thread that runs through Brown Mackie College schools at all of its locations nationwide is a commitment to community involvement. Brown Mackie College students and alumni establish and participate in volunteer activities ranging from bone marrow donations to swim-with-the-dolphins programs for special needs children.

Student Support and Future Employment

Tutoring is provided at no extra cost for students who need additional support through their studies. From enrollment to graduation, Brown Mackie College also provides each student with an academic advisor to ensure that graduates have acquired the skills and knowledge they need for their future careers. Upon graduation, career services not only provides instruction on resume writing, job search, interviewing, and networking, but they also help graduates deal with practical issues, including transportation, wardrobe development, and childcare.
