The Bryn Mawr Campus

Bryn Mawr's campus of 1,300 is one of the most beautiful in the United States and is conveniently located near the city of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, a city less than two hours by train from both New York City and Washington, D.C. Its location attracts broad thinkers who enjoy a wide range of extracurricular interests and welcome the myriad of life experiences their peers bring to the campus. Engagement with one another and the world adds an element of intellectual excitement that few schools of Bryn Mawr's size may claim.

A Diverse Student Body

The Bryn Mawr College student body is comprised of 1,300 undergraduate from 59 countries and 44 states. Twenty percent of students are international students. More than 50 percent are students of color or international students. Bryn Mawr ranks within the top five institutions in the nation for its socioeconomic diversity.

The Bryn Mawr Learning Environment

Bryn Mawr's 8:1 student to faculty ratio fosters a collaborative and individualized experience for the student. Bryn Mawr's relationships with Haverford College, Swarthmore College, and the University of Pennsylvania give students access to more than 5,000 courses and four unique learning environments.

Only twenty minutes away by light rail, the city of Philadelphia is rich with opportunities for internships, externships, cultural exploration, and access to the arts in both small theatres and large venues. Less than two hours away by train, New York City and Washington, D.C. give students access to two of the most influential cities in the world. Sponsored summer internships on campus and abroad allow students to stretch their intellectual and personal experiences, and help to prepare them for the global landscape.

Accolades Abound at Bryn Mawr

Bryn Mawr College ranks in the top ten among liberal arts colleges on the Wall Street Journal's. In addition, its admission rate to law schools is almost 80 percent and admission rate to medical schools is more than 75 percent. Bryn Mawr women are four times more likely to major in math or science than all women nationally.

Admissions

Bryn Mawr exclusively accepts the Common Application and waives the $50 application fee for students who apply online. Students who are interested in applying should start their common application as soon as possible and make Bryn Mawr part of their My Colleges List.
