Chapman University (International Students) - Overview
GREAT ATTRACTIONS IN ORANGE COUNTY AND NEARBY CITIES OFFER FUN ACTIVITIES FOR CHAPMAN STUDENTS
Chapman University is located in beautiful Southern California's Orange County, midway between sunny San Diego and vibrant Los Angeles. That perfect location offers plenty to do for those who love the great outdoors or simply like getting out in the world.
"The happiest place on earth" -- Disneyland -- is just a short drive from campus in nearby Anaheim, and so are parks and arenas for professional baseball teams (the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim) and hockey teams (the Anaheim Ducks), as well as museums and performing arts venues. For those who love the outdoors, miles of world-class beaches are just minutes away, while snow-capped mountains offer winter skiing and summer hiking.
Less than 30 miles/50 kilometers north of campus is Los Angeles, the entertainment capital of the world. L.A. boasts some of the most important business centers, trend-setting fashion hubs, and dynamic live music venues anywhere. It's also home to Hollywood, dozens of museums (including the Getty), and even more sports teams and performing arts venues.
Both Orange County and Los Angeles are in California, one of the most exciting states in America. Located on the West Coast, California boasts a diverse population, temperate weather and rich landscapes of deserts, mountains, forests, and beaches. Having come from nearly every country all over the world, more than 30 million people now call California their home.

Chapman University International Student Services, or ISS, helps students to join community groups, adjust to their new surroundings and lifestyle, and adapt to the academic world. Additionally, ISS organizes several special functions throughout the year, including orientations. The ISS also helps to open communication with government agencies and expedite immigration issues to the benefit of the students.
