Finding the Right Job Searching Resources for You

By Peterson's Staff updated on Wednesday, June 26, 2013

Let’s talk about finding the right job searching resources for you. There are many ways to find a job today. Using the internet to conduct a job search using keywords is an easy way to get lots of ideas, sometimes too many.  Unless you can define exactly the type of job that you are seeking, your internet search may list jobs that you are not qualified for or do not want to explore. If you choose words to search for a job in a field you think you may be interested in, but are not sure, you will be investing a lot of time searching but not answering your specific question or moving forward to finding a real job.

Have you heard about DreamDegree.org. They are a not-for-profit organization that offers student advocacy services, including information about colleges and universities, degree programs, professional certification opportunities, and prospects for scholarships. Their team of personal education coaches will advise you for free, listening to your questions and providing guidance based on their years of experience. You may decide that you want to go back to school to finish your undergraduate degree in the hopes of getting a better job. Perhaps this will be your first time to attend a college class. It can be exciting and easier than you think. You will not have to sit in traffic to drive to a classroom on campus, because you can sign up for an online class that you can take at home, in the peace and quiet of your own living room, late at night or early in the morning, wearing your pajamas or dressed in jeans. It will not matter because an online education offers you freedom. You can study when you want to and learn at your own pace. If you decide to join a discussion group with other students in the class, moderated by the professor, you can do that, too. If you want to find a job while you are taking college classes, you will be able to, because your schedule will accommodate interviews or working at a full- or part-time job. When you have completed the courses offered by DreamDegree, you will then be advised by your personal education coach about transferring your credits to one of the 1600 partner universities and colleges which accept the coursework for full credit.

Having a plan, working toward a career in a field you love… earning a degree or professional certification… all can result from finding the right job searching resources for you. Take advantage of the chance to improve your life by choosing a goal and then working towards it. Call or contact DreamDegree.org online to begin a discussion about your unlimited options. You can take classes at reduced tuition rates at many universities, some online and some offering both classroom and online. You can find out if you qualify for a scholarship to pursue your degree, thereby reducing your education costs even further. The time is now! Search for the information you need to achieve your own dreams.
