A Variety of Undergraduate Degree Completion Programs

For more than 45 years, Kansas State University Global Campus has offered bachelor's degree completion programs through distance education. K-State Global Campus offers nine career-focused undergraduate degree completion programs across a spectrum of disciplines. The programs allow students to complete the last two years of a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree online.

K-State's 12,000 distance students are taught by the same faculty members and have access to the same resources enjoyed by their peers on a traditional campus. The university even offers several scholarships designated for online, part-time students.

Course Delivery Methods

The K-State Global Campus offers courses designed to deliver an interactive, web-based classroom experience. Courses online enables students with time and geographic constraints to take advantage of the flexibility of learning anytime, anyplace that fits into their schedule. Distance course communications tools include e-mail, email lists, message boards, video streaming and chat rooms and discussion boards.

Bachelor's Degree Completion Programs in Human Ecology

Students interested in human services may choose from several online degree programs from K-State's College of Human Ecology.

The dietetics program, recognized nationally and internationally, provides professional courses in food, nutrition and food service systems management. A bachelor's degree in nutrition and health focuses on developing community programs to promote a healthy lifestyle.

The early childhood education program prepares students to serve the needs of a range of children, from newborns to kindergarten-aged children. Graduates often work in early education programs in administrative or teaching positions, working with parents and community agencies.

The highly flexible family studies and human services program allows students to combine coursework in human development with perspectives from various disciplines, including psychology, sociology, gerontology, or women's studies. Graduates work in settings such as youth programs, the court system, cooperative extension, family support programs and public health departments.

Food Science and Industry and Animal Sciences and Industry Bachelor's Degree Completion Programs

The Kansas State University College of Agriculture offers distance degrees in food science and industry and animal sciences and industry.

The food science and industry bachelor's degree program focuses on food business and operations management and includes business, agribusiness and agricultural economics components that prepare students for management in the food industry.

The animal sciences and industry bachelor's program provides challenging courses to prepare students for production, management, marketing, distribution and sales applications in the food industry. The program builds on a basic science foundation and is complemented by courses in business, food/meat processing, technology, evaluation, quality assurance and food safety.

General Business Bachelor's Degree Completion Program

The general business degree completion program is offered by K-State's College of Business Administration, which is accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business International. This program exposes students to fundamental areas of business such as finance, accounting, management and marketing.

Arts and Sciences Bachelor's Degree Completion Programs

The interdisciplinary social science major offered through the College of Arts and Sciences focuses on developing valuable student competencies in research, communication, teamwork, writing, computer and multimedia, critical thinking, problem-solving, broad-based knowledge and time management. Students are required to take courses in multiple social science disciplines complete their degree.

Technology Management Bachelor's Degree Completion Program

Technology management is offered by the College of Technology and Aviation and combines courses in liberal arts, management, accounting, marketing and technology to support careers in areas such as aviation maintenance, computer systems technology, construction engineering technology, digital media, electronic and computer engineering, technology, mechanical engineering, professional piloting and web development technology.

2 + 2 Partnerships with Community Colleges

Kansas State University has created 2+2 partnerships with 29 community colleges throughout Kansas, Texas, Illinois, Ohio, Oklahoma and Missouri. These partnerships allow students to complete an associate degree through their local institution and then complete a distance-based bachelor's degree through K-State.

Programming for Returning Athletes

Kansas State University's Second Wind program is a specialized degree completion program designed for former K-State student athletes who left the university without earning a degree. Athletic academic counselors and academic advisors help returning students develop a detailed plan of course schedules, graduation timelines and living arrangements. Student athletes who travel regularly have the option to complete their degrees through distance education. College athletes who attended other colleges may also check into K-State distance programs as an option to complete their degree.
