Chicago, Illinois is home to more than 7,000 restaurants, of which there are more AAA, 5-diamond restaurants than in any other city in the United States. This makes Chicago an excellent setting for ambitious students to attain their culinary arts degrees. Kendall College's School of Culinary Arts is located near the heart of downtown Chicago and has been training culinary experts for 25 years. The School of Culinary Arts at Kendall College has been awarded the Academy of the Culinary Arts Cordon d' Or -- Gold Ribbon Cooking School of the Year Culinary Academy Award for 2008.

These culinary arts degree programs are taught by a team of instructors, each of whom, in addition to professional and academic credentials, have a minimum of 10 years of professional experience. Business Degrees for the Services Industry Aren't Just Business Degrees

Located near the heart of downtown Chicago, Kendall College educates students to become leaders in the services industries worldwide. The college, which is a member of the Laureate International Universities network, offers a Bachelor of Arts in Business that teaches practical skills that define successful careers, generating graduates who are professionally savvy, globally driven, and services oriented. As a city that is home to 33 Fortune 500 companies and more than 200,000 smaller companies, Chicago is the ideal location for business students to choose among management, food service management, small business, or psychology concentrations.

The management concentration is a general business degree for students who wish to pursue lucrative careers in business. The food service management concentration provides business students with a solid foundation in all areas of food service management and food-related industries including operations, procurement, production, distribution, and service, as well as consumer behavior. The small business concentration can help graduates prepare to start or expand small businesses. Kendall's psychology concentration will help students to apply psychological concepts to real-world situations, evaluate psychological research, assess case studies by applying psychological theories and business practices, and analyze interpersonal situations in the workplace.

Students in the School of Business are immersed in real-world situations through courses that use tools such as situation-based challenges, living case studies, management simulations, and integrative projects. Succeeding in a changing and increasingly unpredictable marketplace is a fundamental focus. While the program is innovative, the curriculum still provides the solid academic foundation found in more traditional business programs.
