Bachelor of Science in Nursing Program

The Bachelor of Science in Nursing (B.S.N.) degree program is a 4-year program that provides a liberal arts and sciences background. It prepares students for the NCLEX-RN licensure exam, entry-level nursing jobs, and further study in master's and doctoral programs.

Its curriculum consists of 124 credits of preliminary coursework and nursing courses. Preliminary coursework, which includes 60 credit hours of general education and prerequisite courses, is completed at other institutions.

The nursing curriculum consists of several 64-credit tracks that allow students to earn their degrees at a pace that meets their needs. Students, complete preliminary coursework and receive admission into the program before choosing curriculum tracks.

Accelerated B.S.N. Track

The B.S.N. degree accelerated track can be completed in 16 months, including a summer session. Students do not need baccalaureate degrees to accelerate through the program.

Traditional B.S.N. Track

The traditional B.S.N. degree program consists of 21 months of study. It is possible for students to participate in a summer internship/externship with this option.

Paced Nursing Track

The paced B.S.N. track, which can be completed in 23 to 28 months, has fewer credit hours per semester than other tracks. This allows students who need a slower pace to be successful in the program.

L.P.N. to B.S.N. Nursing Track

The L.P.N. to B.S.N. track allows licensed practicing nurses of varying experience levels to earn B.S.N. degrees via the traditional, accelerated, or paced track. Exemptions, proficiencies, and portfolio options allow students to receive credit for previous education and skills.

R.N. to B.S.N. Nursing Track

Registered nurses (R.N.) who do not hold B.S.N. degrees may enroll in the R.N. to B.S.N. track. They also receive credit for previous education and skills.
