Overview

International Students Proudly Make Up Almost One-Fifth of the Menlo Population

International students comprise almost 20 percent of the total student body and are greatly welcome at Menlo College. Several international scholarships are offered to these incoming students. Students must hand in their official SAT/ACT scores, Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) scores, and any other required test scores. Also, student visas must be processed and approved before admission.

Tuition for most international students usually approaches $50,000 per year, which includes tuition, room and board, and miscellaneous expenses.

Such Business Degree Programs as Business Management and Mass Communications Are Joined by New Ones

The vast majority of the undergraduate population at Menlo College pursues Bachelor of Science degree programs that focus on management, followed by those who are undeclared majors, then those who pursue liberal arts degrees and mass communication degrees.

While Menlo has been crafting cornerstone fields of study, such as accounting, marketing, and finance for those seeking BA and BS degrees, it has also been developing new fields to connect with today's rapidly changing business environment and markets. Some of these are in such fields as real estate, media management, and management information systems.

Business Degrees and Certificate Programs Are Available to Undergraduate Students

Some students wish to attain business degrees quickly in order to join the work force or sustain a current professional place in their industry of choice. The business degree program allows undergraduate students to take accelerated night courses all year, enabling them to complete a degree in a little over a year and a half. In this way, students gather knowledge on modern finance issues and develop related communication skills.

Certificate programs are available to undergraduate students as well as those not seeking degrees who wish to improve their education for professional purposes. Typically, these concentrations - such as human resource management or marketing management - require 15 units to be taken and involve prerequisite courses or on-the-job experience.

Notable Faculty Members Are an Integral Part of the Low Student-to-Teacher Ratio Maintained at Menlo College

With a student-to-professor ratio of only 15:1, Menlo strives to sustain its intimate hands-on environment in order to support individual needs of its enrolled students. To encourage this dynamic, Menlo College has enlisted many notable faculty members, such as Professor of Chemistry and Physical Science Dr. Jean Dupon, who is a NATO Fellow, patent holder, and author of multiple publications and articles, as well as published author Marilyn Kay Thomas, Ph.D. Some notable alumni include professional football player Nate Jackson and multi-billionaire industrialist and Saudi Arabian Prince, Al-Waleed bin Tala.

Menlo Offers a Great Variety of Clubs, Organizations, and Sporting Opportunities for All of Its Undergraduate Students

Many clubs and organizations are available to students enrolled at Menlo. These student groups help to raise student morale, as well as introduce those who may not otherwise meet but do share similar interests. Organizations include the Alpha Chi Honor Society, Club Asia, the Entrepreneur Club, the Menlo Music Club, the Photography Club, Football Club, the Horror Film Club, Women's Club, the Student Government Association, and the KMXX Radio Club, among many others.

Almost 40 percent of the student body at Menlo actively participates in sports, athletic organizations, and teams. Men can participate in football, golf, soccer, basketball, wrestling, and other sports. Women can join cross-country running teams; play soccer, softball, and volleyball; or even join a wrestling team, among other opportunities.

Ample Housing for Undergraduates Is Available

There is ample secure housing for undergraduate students at Menlo College. There are four residential halls, which include O'Brien Hall, Michaels Hall, Howard Hall, and Kratt Hall. All of these living spaces come equipped with furnishings. Some housing is shared, while other housing suites are for single residents.
