Overview

Mercy College Overview

Mercy College is a private, not for profit institution based in Westchester NY, offering more than 90 challenging degree programs to undergraduate and graduate students. Its Honors Program is one of the oldest in New York State. And its revolutionary PACT program -- the first such endeavor in the country to pair students with professionally trained mentors throughout their college experiences -- has been recognized by the White House.

The college is proud to be one of the most affordable private institutions in the country, committed to preparing an increasing number of students for rewarding, in-demand careers. It offers NCAA Division II athletics, and is listed as one of 200 "Colleges of Distinction" for "engaged students, great teaching, vibrant communities, and successful outcomes."

Mercy College has several Fulbright scholars among its faculty members, and this year saw the creation of new Centers of Academic Excellence within its School of Business -- including institutes for entrepreneurship, strategic consulting, and international business. The School of Business also launched one of the area's only 1-year Manhattan-based MBA programs. Mercy's online graduate nursing program is listed among the nation's 100 best as ranked by "US News." And the college was thrilled to be named to the President's Higher Education Community Service Honor Roll for its "Mercy Gives Back" initiatives throughout the tri state area.
