MNU students receive direction from advisors in choosing a major, discovering their interests, finding a mentor, and preparation for interviews.

At MNU, hands-on learning and real-world experience are core components of students' education. For example, criminal justice majors learn in the university's own forensics lab, then intern for local police departments or laboratories. Communications students build public relations skills by helping non-profit organizations, and nursing majors train on the latest medical technology including state-of-the-art patient simulators.
