Molloy College Offers Enriching Academic Experience on Long Island Campus and Around the World

Molloy College, located in Rockville Centre, New York, offers students a rich and multidimensional education experience. The Long Island school encourages critical thinking and creative exploration in a personal community setting. Molloy combines the strengths of academic excellence and leadership with personal, compassionate mentoring to bring out the best in every student.

For more than 50 years, Molloy College has evolved to become a dynamic learning institution with outstanding faculty, advanced technology, and a wide range of academic programs. In addition, Molloy has expanded its reach, offering graduate level courses at its Suffolk Center in East Farmingdale, New York, along with a number of on-site opportunities at area hospitals and school districts.

Molloy College students possess the confidence needed to live and work in this fast-paced, ever-changing world. The college has expanded its global learning program, where students travel from Rockville Centre and study abroad in Belgium, India, Italy, France, Spain, Thailand, and Australia. By traveling from Long Island and immersing themselves in cultures in other parts of the world, students gain knowledge while learning acceptance and understanding.

Athletics and academics go hand-in-hand at Molloy College, where students are known for both their athletic and scholastic success. The Long Island school has a winning tradition in a number of athletic programs and recently won conference championships in women's basketball and men's soccer. Molloy College athletes compete in the East Coast Conference, NCAA Division II.

More than 150 students can now live on campus, providing them with new opportunities for campus involvement. Additonally, with more than 40 student clubs and honor societies, Molloy has something for each and every student.

In recent years, Molloy College has become a focal point for civic discourse with key community forums. Top regional, national, and international leaders (including Secretary of State Gen. Colin Powell and "Newsweek" editor Fareed Zakaria) have come to Rockville Centre to visit the college in order to address critical and timely issues.

Molloy recently opened a new student center, the Public Square, which features new classrooms and study spaces, as well as lounges, a game room and an art gallery. The Public Square also includes a new performing arts venue, the Madison Theatre, which will attract world-class performers to the College.

Through Molloy College's diversity of programs, personal attention from faculty, and commitment to improving both Long Island and the world, students develop an "I will" attitude that prepares them to enter the professional world -- ready and able to start something and make a difference.
