Ecampus distance learning program

Oregon State University Ecampus provides adult learners with access to a high-quality education no matter where they live. Thousands of distance students enroll in Ecampus' accredited degree programs and courses each year, all of which are taught by OSU's renowned faculty.

All Ecampus online courses and degree programs are designed by OSU faculty and are held to the same rigorous academic standards as the university's on-campus classes. OSU is accredited by the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities, and all Ecampus students who complete degree requirements receive the same diploma as campus-based students.

OSU's distance learners include full- and part-time students, working and retired professionals, community college students, active-duty and retired military, high school students and individuals who want to further their education with a single college course. Ecampus students and graduates hail from all 50 states and more than 20 countries worldwide.

Distance learning students at OSU's Ecampus typically communicate with instructors and each other via online discussion boards, forums, the virtual classroom and email. Most Ecampus courses are delivered through Oregon State's Blackboard (Bb) Learning Portal System. OSU is Oregon's largest public research university and the state's only land-grant university.

Costs and Financial Aid

Tuition fees for undergraduate online courses at Oregon State University are $271 per credit with additional technology resource and matriculation fees. Certain courses may also charge additional fees for required workshops. Review graduate level programs for specific tuition information by program.

Students may be eligible for federal financial aid through FAFSA, grants, loans and various scholarships.

Applications and Admissions

OSU Ecampus offers students 16 online undergraduate bachelor's degrees to choose from, and new programs are developed each year. Students may pursue an accredited degree in: agricultural sciences; anthropology; computer science; economics; environmental economics and policy; environmental sciences; fisheries and wildlife sciences; german; horticulture; human development and family sciences; liberal studies; natural resources; political science; psychology; sociology; and women, gender and sexuality studies.

Undergraduate Minors Online

Enhance your bachelor's degree by enrolling in one of Ecampus' 18 undergraduate minor programs. Ecampus offers minors in the following areas: anthropology; business and entrepreneurship; chemistry; economics; environmental sciences; fisheries and wildlife sciences; geography; German; history; horticulture; natural resources; political science; popular music; psychology; resource economics; sociology; women, gender and sexuality studies; and writing.

Graduate Degrees and Certificates Online

OSU Ecampus offers a variety of innovative graduate programs in fully online and hybrid (online and face-to-face) formats. Students may pursue the following online graduate degrees in the following areas: business administration; teacher and counselor education; science and mathematics education; science, engineering and natural resources.

There are also graduate certificate programs available to students in the following areas: fisheries management; geographic information science (GI Science); management for science professionals; public health; sustainable natural resources; and water conflict management.
