Find the Best Pre Dentistry Colleges for You

Searching for Pre Dentistry Colleges

If you have an interest in dentistry, you should take a close look at pre dentistry colleges. Pre-dentistry colleges are undergraduate institutions that have strong science departments, and will prepare you well for dental school. Pre dental school academic fundamentals include biology, chemistry, organic chemistry, physics, and English.

Following a pre dental program, you'll be well equipped to take the Dental Admission Test (DAT) and enter a dental school for more specific instruction. The DAT is one of many pre dental requirements, which also include an interview and a fairly high GPA (over 3.0).

Following a successful stint at one of the many quality pre dentistry schools, you will study for 4 years to gain a DDS or DMD degree, after which you can enter private practice or apply for a residency. Dentists can specialize in oral surgery, orthodontics, periodontics, or a number of other fields.
