Established in 1912, Saint Joseph's College of Maine is located in Standish, Maine in the northeastern region of the United States. It is a Catholic liberal arts college that "nurtures intellectual, spiritual, and social growth in students of all ages and all faiths within a values-centered environment."
The college began its distance learning program in 1976, in order to serve the needs of adult learners. Since that time, it has awarded degrees to more than 9,400 students, including individuals from all 50 states and 22 countries.
