Overview

The Vibrant Campus of Thomas More College Is an Inclusive Faith Community Where Students Have Room to Grow

Thomas More College is committed to creating a community environment on campus that helps to facilitate the intellectual, physical, social, and spiritual growth of students. With a beautiful campus that features traditional and suite-style housing and a wide variety of facilities, as well as free parking and laundry for all students, Thomas More offers students an excellent place to call "home." The safe and convenient campus of the college provides students all of the amenities they need to live comfortably and to meet their dining and entertainment needs.

Further, because of the college's close proximity to the thriving and vibrant city of Cincinnati, Thomas More also offers a small-school feel with the opportunity afforded by the cultural and entertainment options of a big city. Students can travel just a short distance to visit museums, festivals, restaurants, professional sporting events, and a host of other activities in downtown Cincinnati, Ohio.

With a Commitment to Service and Experiential Learning, Thomas More College Offers Academic Excellence

With varied academic programs and a reputation for delivering excellent educational value, Thomas More College offers students a wide array of majors from which to choose and a vast selection of courses. A dedicated faculty ensures that all students receive a high level of instruction, and all classes are taught by faculty members, with no courses being led by graduate or teaching assistants.

All Thomas More students complete a first-year seminar that is designed to introduce them to the concepts involved with college-level learning and education and prepare them effectively for their college careers. Students with an excellent academic track record may also apply to the college's prestigious James Graham Brown Honors Program and take part in a unique course of study that involves highly-personalized seminars.

Education at Thomas More College is by no means limited to the classroom, however, as there are a variety of options available to students to further their education outside of classroom instruction. There are numerous study abroad programs that are popular with students who wish to broaden their international horizons. Experiential learning is designed to help students acquaint themselves with a means for extending the learning process past their formal training and into their everyday lives, to develop the habit of relating their educational activities to their career perspectives, and to acquire flexibility in their approach to learning both in and out of the classroom. Cooperative education opportunities also abound within the greater Cincinnati area, offering many opportunities for real-world education and employment.

Active Clubs and Organizations, Top-Flight Facilities, and NCAA Division III Athletics Keep Students Engaged

With a successful athletic program, wonderful facilities that include a recently remodeled library and new athletic complex, and a wide variety of on-campus student organizations and activities, there is always something to do at Thomas More College.

Among the collegiate-level sports at the college are baseball, softball, football, volleyball, both men's and women's basketball, cross country, golf, soccer, tennis, and track and field. For those not participating in NCAA athletics, but who wish to remain active and play sports, Thomas More features a thriving intramural sports program that is very popular with students.

The athletic facilities at Thomas More are first class, and include the Connor Convocation Center, the Bank of Kentucky Field for football, track and soccer, and the Five Seasons Sports Country Club, which features tennis courts, racquetball courts, a weight and exercise room, a swimming pool, a running track, and sauna and steam rooms.

In addition, Thomas More College has numerous clubs and student organizations, including theatre groups, academic clubs and honor societies, special interest groups and clubs, political groups, Greek organizations, social clubs, and many more.

Opportunities Abound with Generous Financial Aid Opportunities and Outstanding Placement in Careers and Graduate School

While the faculty at Thomas More College sees to the education of students, the college's administrators understand the need to facilitate the financial aspect of attending college. As such, Thomas More offers competitive tuition and aid packages, including the Thomas More Trust Financial Aid Program, which includes eight initiatives to make the school affordable. There are also a number of merit-based academic scholarships available to students who qualify, and work study and co-op employment opportunities can further assist students.

Opportunity is not merely offered via financial aid packages, however, as Thomas More has a solid history of graduates being accepted into graduate school or placed in professional careers soon after graduation. The numerous awards and rankings bestowed upon Thomas More speak to the college's continuous excellence among institutions of higher learning, and the school is regularly rated as one of the "Best Comprehensive Colleges in the South" by various publications.
