The 46-credit M.B.A./CFA Program builds on the first 28 credits of the traditional M.B.A. curriculum and then adds specialized concentration courses in quantitative methods; advanced corporate finance; analysis of equity; fixed income; alternative investments; portfolio management; financial markets, including derivative, credit, and currency markets; and the ethical and professional standards of money management. Courses cover the latest in theory and application with lecture, class discussions, case analysis, simulations, and creative problem solving. Classes are kept small to ensure that student-faculty interaction is optimal. Known as one of the "Top 20 Wired Colleges" in the country, Quinnipiac's campus-wide wireless network provides easy access to e-mail, course materials, the library, and the Internet.
The extensive, state-of-the-art financial resources of the Terry W. Goodwin '67 Financial Technology Center are available to students. M.B.A.'s Supply Chain Management Track Prepares Graduates with High-Level Skills in Systems Management
The M.B.A./SCM Program teaches students how to coordinate the many functions, processes, and enterprises associated with the order-fulfillment cycle. Supply chain management focuses on the planning and management of sourcing and procurement activities, conversion, and logistics management activities.
A key element in supply chain management is the systems management skills of coordinating and collaborating with suppliers, manufacturing, intermediaries, transportation carriers, warehouses and inventory management, third-party service providers, retailers, and customers. Supply chain management focuses on the integration across functions within a firm as well as across enterprise lines.
The 46-credit M.B.A./SCM Program builds on the first 34 core credits of the traditional M.B.A. curriculum with the addition of specialized concentration courses such as Strategic Sourcing and Supply Management; Operations and Supply Chain Management; Transportation Management; and Managing Marketing Channels.
Graduates of the program have the breadth and depth of key skills to function successfully in highly competitive national and international marketplaces and, at the same time, be effective as supply systems management professionals in their companies and successfully manage all stages of the order-fulfillment cycle, from sourcing, manufacturing, and suppliers to warehousing, inventory management, retailers, and delivery to customers.
