Overview

Many Distinguished Degree Opportunities Abound for Those Seeking Their Master's of Engineering Degree at UA

There are several degree program opportunities available to graduate students at UA. For those seeking a Master's of Engineering Degree, students also have the opportunity to study at neighboring, collaborative state universities, which are Arizona State University and Northern Arizona University. Through all of these institutions, practice-focused courses are taught directly or remotely. There are several credit types and number options required, depending on what other network schools are attended and whether or not the degree programs are project-based.

The UA Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering is Led by a Number of Important Leaders in The Field

There is a long list of honored faculty and research staff names that populate much of the graduate studies centers at UA. Within the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering alone, noted staff includes professor John R. Brews, Ph.D.; published author and multiple award-winning professor Steve L. Devorak, Ph.D; award-winning monograph and scholarly article author and professor, Salim Hariri, Ph.D.; and professor and published author Olgierd A. Many Diverse Job and Research Opportunities Are Available, Some Offering Credit and/or Stipends

There are several job opportunities offered through the UA, including faculty positions at the university. There are currently a few positions for associate professors and professors who focus on biological application in the medical field or biotronics. For those still in graduate school, there is the need for research assistants in the High Performance Computing Architectures and Technologies Lab or the Reconfigurable Computing Lab. Jobs like these enable students to earn research credits as well as earn hourly wages. The UA Career Services Center also offers help all year long to secure outside jobs or internships for graduate students with leading computing and engineering companies, positions which coincide with their study programs. Professional development seminars can also be taken to help students build resumes, learn about the interview process, and understand new hiring trends.

Tuition at UA Can Be Offset By Financial Aid, Scholarships, and Grants Available to Virtually All Graduate Students

For graduate students who are a part of the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, tuition is approximately $11,000 per semester, on average. There are several additional costs of living for students as well. In order to help offset these and other expenses, the Office of Student Financial Aid provides information and can help secure federal and local loans, as well as a variety of scholarships for qualified students.
