Boston University's College of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences offers both undergraduate and graduate degrees in several different study concentrations to prepare students for research and clinical careers in the health field. Boston University Sargent College of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences Holds a Rich History in New England
Boston University's Sargent College of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences is located in Boston, Massachusetts. The college attracts graduate students interested in pursuing a career in a wide range of study areas from medical research to speech pathology. The college was founded in 1881 by Dr. Dudley Allen Sargent, but was then called the Sargent School of Physical Training. It was located in Cambridge, Massachusetts, and focused on teachings centered upon physical conditioning and health promotion.
Later, in 1929, after Dr. Sargent's death and under his son's direction, the college stayed true to its New England roots and became part of Boston University. The school's mission is to "advance, preserve, disseminate and apply knowledge in the health and rehabilitation sciences."
