Felician College Offers Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology Degree
The master's counseling psychology program at Felician College focuses on preparing students to pursue careers as licensed mental health professionals. This program teaches its candidates how to make a commitment to serve the diverse populations within today's society. As with all Felician programs, the graduate program in counseling psychology is consistent with Catholic social teachings on life philosophy and social justice.
The master's degree program prepares its candidates to identify groups, and individuals, who show patterns and frameworks of psychopathology behavior. Students are taught to create and articulate precise treatment plans that will address the diagnoses of these groups and individuals. Through their studies, candidates for the Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology degree at Felician College develop proficiency in pertinent, scientifically-substantiated treatment modalities.
To complete the program, candidates much earn 66 graduate credits. The program offers evening courses on campus in Bergen County, New Jersey, and students have the option of attending class part-time or full-time. Students will also be prepared to sit for relevant exams so that they may become licensed professional counselors.
