Syracuse University and the Newhouse School of Public Communications also serve as a hub for employers and job recruiters. The Newhouse Career Development Center (CDC) hosts an annual career event, when some 50¿60 national communications companies send representatives to campus to interview and recruit students for jobs and internships. The CDC assists students in developing job and internship search skills through seminars and workshops, and distributes job and internship leads.
