The University of Colorado at Boulder has been a leader in business education for over a century. The business school was founded in 1906 as the College of Commerce and renamed the Leeds School of Business in 2001 after a $35 million commitment to the University of Colorado at Boulder School of Business by Mr. Michael Leeds, former President and CEO of CMP Media, and his family. This generous gift is one of the ten largest commitments to a U.S. business school. The new Koelbel Building, a LEED gold-certified award-winning example of environmental stewardship, epitomizes the Leeds School's commitment to the future.
