The University of Pennsylvania's Graduate School of Education offers the leading graduate education programs in Pennsylvania. Twenty-two programs lead to Master of Science in Education (M.S.Ed.) degrees, Master of Science (M.S.) degrees, Master of Philosophy in Education (M.Phil.Ed.) degrees, Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) degrees, and Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degrees for individuals seeking to begin or advance their education careers.
The school's graduate programs are organized in five academic divisions: Applied Psychology-Human Development; Foundations and Practices of Education; Higher Education; Language and Literacy in Education; and Policy, Measurement, and Evaluation.

Master of Philosophy in Education (M.Phil.Ed.)

Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) Program

Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) Program
The Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) program is designed for individuals who are pursuing senior leadership positions in the professional practice of education. Seven specializations are offered: "Educational Leadership," "Mid-Career Doctorate in Educational Leadership," "Higher Education," "Executive Doctorate in Higher Education," "Reading/Writing/Literacy," "Teaching, Learning, and Teacher Education," and "Executive Program in Work-Based Learning Leadership."
The Executive Program in Work-Based Learning Leadership is the first-of-its-kind program from a premier university for the Chief Learning Officer and other learning leaders.
