The Art Institute of Jacksonville helps students cultivate and refine the talents and skills that can lead to entry-level positions in the creative arts. Classes are taught in an environment that encourages learning, leadership, and creativity. The school offers five bachelor’s degree programs and three associate degree programs.

Faculty and staff members strive to foster development and cultivate artistic growth. Students are given opportunities to develop leadership skills and build relationships. In addition, assistance is available to help students with resume writing, networking, and keeping abreast of what employers are looking for in job candidates.

The Art Institute of Jacksonville places a high value on the quality of student life both in and out of the classroom. Students can participate in a wide variety of activities, including clubs and organizations, community service, and various committees designed to enhance the quality of student life.

Students come to The Art Institute of Jacksonville from throughout the United States. The student population includes recent high school graduates, transfer students, and those who have left a previous employment situation to study and train for a new career. Students are creative, competitive, and open to new ideas.

The Art Institute of Jacksonville is located in Jacksonville, Florida’s largest city. With mild winters and warm summers, Jacksonville is a popular tourist destination. The Jacksonville beaches, Florida Theater, and professional sports teams are exciting entertainment options within the region.

The Art Institute of Jacksonville offers bachelor’s and associate degrees. Bachelor’s degrees are offered in culinary management, digital filmmaking & video production, graphic design, interior design, and Web design & interactive media.

Students may also pursue an Associate of Arts degree in culinary arts, graphic design, or Web design & interactive media design.

The academic year is divided into four quarters, beginning in January, April, July, and October. Each program is offered on a year-round basis, allowing students to continue to work uninterrupted toward their degrees.

The Art Institute of Jacksonville is located on Baypine Road in Jacksonville. The school has a bookstore, Mac and PC computer labs, and classrooms.

Tuition cost varies by program. Prospective students should contact the school for current tuition costs. Other charges include a starting kit for all first-quarter students. Kits vary in price depending on the program of study.

Financial aid is available for those who qualify. Students who require financial assistance should first complete and submit a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and meet with a financial aid officer.

The Art Institute of Jacksonville faculty consists of full-time and part-time instructors, many of whom have advanced degrees and professional experience in their respective fields.

The Student Federation is responsible for student government and acts as a liaison between the student body and faculty and staff members.

Applicants must provide proof of high school graduation or achievement of a General Educational Development (GED) certificate as a prerequisite for admission. In lieu of documenting high school graduation or a GED certificate, applicants may provide proof of attaining an associate degree or higher from an accredited institution. An official transcript indicating date of high school graduation, GED certificate (including test scores), or date of college graduation (including degree granted) is required as proof.

All individuals seeking admission to The Art Institute of Jacksonville are interviewed in person or by phone by an assistant director of admissions, and each applicant must submit an original essay of at least 150 words stating how an education at the school would help the student to achieve career goals. There is a $50 application fee.
