Carroll College Graduates Achieve Success at Higher Than Average Rates in All Fields
Carroll students enjoy a high success rate on post-graduate evaluations. Nursing majors have exceptional pass rates on their NCLEX-RN exams. Pre-professional students get into medical school, dental school, law school, or other graduate programs at rates twice as high as the national average. A Close Connection to the Catholic Church and an Inclusive Atmosphere Distinguish Carroll College
As one of the only Catholic Diocesan colleges in the nation, Carroll has a unique connection to the Catholic Church through the Diocese of Helena. The Bishop of the Diocese of Helena is the college's Chancellor and serves as a member of the Board of Trustees. Carroll College offers Mass on campus daily, and the school's Campus Ministry offers various retreats, men's and women's formation groups, Bible study sessions, and personal guidance, support, and worship opportunities. In the ecumenical tradition of the Second Vatican Council, students of any faith are welcome to participate in Campus Ministry activities and attend mass, though no students are required to do any of these things.
Carroll's Residential Campus and Residence Halls Create a Close Community of Learners
As a residential campus, Carroll requires students to live on campus for their first two years of study. The college encourages students to live on campus all four years. Carroll currently house students in four residence halls: Guadalupe Hall houses freshman students; St. Charles hall houses sophomore students; and Borromeo and Trinity Halls are home to junior and senior students living on campus. By encouraging students to live on campus, Carroll helps create a community of students that contributes to the meaningful exchange of ideas both in and out of the classroom.

Campus life is vibrant at Carroll College. Student Activities sponsors a variety of speakers, musicians, comedians, and other entertainers throughout the course of the year. Carroll has all the academic and social clubs found on any college campus, along with some unique clubs and groups. For example, CAMP, the Carroll Adventure and Mountaineering Program, allows students to explore the many outdoor activities available in and around Helena, including hiking, mountain biking, skiing, snowboarding, snowshoeing, rafting, camping, climbing, and other activities.

Helena, Montana, is a town of about 30,000 residents, with 55,000 in the whole of the surrounding valley. Helena has a vivacious small arts community that features several art galleries, small theaters, music venues, and the Archie Bray Center, which is the premiere ceramics institute in the nation. There are also several annual events, including the fall art walk. It is quite likely that students who go to Carroll will become engaged in Helena's vibrant community. Carroll students are embraced in the community because of their involvement in a variety of volunteer activities as well as jobs and internships in and around Helena.

Carroll has strived throughout its history to make college affordable for any student. This philosophy is all the more important in trying economic times. Almost all admitted students receive some sort of financial assistance. The school's merit scholarship program grants annual scholarships worth up to half the cost of tuition to students, based on their performance in high school. Carroll also has a host of institutional scholarships available for qualifying students. Also available are federal aid, Carroll need-based aid, and outside scholarships. When all these resources are stacked up against Carroll's already-affordable tuition and costs, Carroll becomes one of the most affordable and high-value schools in the region.

One of the major distinctions of Carroll College is the school's unique "four-year guarantee." The school guarantees that if students remain committed to their declared major, they will be able to graduate in four years. Students will never be locked out of a class that is required for matriculation and that would keep them from graduating in four years. At other institutions, college students often find themselves needing an extra semester or year in order to attain the credits and classes they need to graduate. This represents the increased expense of paying tuition for longer than four years. The four-year guarantee at Carroll removes this concern for Carroll students.
