Grand View is a university of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA). Students who are looking to study in an engaged community atmosphere under Lutheran values and principles attend Grand View no matter what their area of interest. With over 35 undergraduate majors to choose from, plus several certificate programs and five pre-professional programs, students can find a program at Grand View that is right for them. Since the school prides itself on its dedication to personal attention and interaction with students, individuals can explore areas that are most interesting to them and develop discussion and exploration in small classes.
In addition to the range of undergraduate majors, the university offers a Master of Science program in innovative leadership and 16 programs in professional and adult learning for graduate and nontraditional students.
Build Internationalism and Worldwide Service and Stewardship by Studying Abroad
Grand View University has developed a partnership with the Danish Institute for Study Abroad, allowing students easy and affordable access to summer, semester-long, or yearlong study abroad opportunities in Denmark. In addition, study tours of Denmark, Scandinavia, and Europe are available to students, allowing them to travel and expand their knowledge of the world while meaningfully furthering their education at the same time. Additionally, study abroad opportunities are available through the university in diverse locations such as Brazil, Venezuela, Israel, and Russia.
Students at Grand View University Enjoy a Varied and Inclusive Student Life
Student life is an important part of any college experience. Grand View has over 30 registered clubs and student organizations that provide students with a way to connect with one another outside of the classroom. Many organizations sponsor activities for the entire student body, drawing the entire campus together. Among the opportunities available are an active student government, campus ministries, choir, academic organizations, and Diversity Alliance.
In addition to student clubs and organizations, Grand View participates in the Midwest Collegiate Conference of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics. Seventeen men's and women's varsity sports teams compete at the national level, with many athletic scholarships available to committed student athletes.
