Career-Oriented Programs in Business, Allied Health, and Liberal Arts

Manor College's degrees are transfer and career-oriented programs awarded within the divisions of Business and Legal Studies; Liberal Arts; and Allied Health, Science, and Mathematics. Students graduate with plans of transferring to a four-year institution or beginning employment.

The academic division of Allied Health, Science, and Mathematics provides Associates in Science degree programs with specific education and training in areas such as pre-nursing, pre-pharmacy, pre-physical therapy, and pre-radiologic science. Pre-biotechnology and pre-cytotechnology are also offered for those interested in health science. Non-preparatory programs within the Allied Health, Science, and Mathematics Division include veterinary technology and dental hygiene.

The Liberal Arts Division confers Associates in Arts degrees. Students in this division can choose the liberal arts major or liberal arts with a concentration in communications. Those who choose the second option are introduced to journalism, public relations, and business communications. The majors of psychology and education also fall under liberal arts.

The Business and Legal Studies Division confers an Associate of Science degree in accounting, business administration, information systems and technology, international business, management, or marketing. Within the majors of business and legal studies, students may also earn a paralegal degree.

Active Student Organizations Include Community Service, Campus Government, and Theater Groups

Manor College student life activities get students motivated and moving. Through extracurricular events, a campus community member will develop friendships and find the perfect niche in a new environment. To enhance student life, an array of student services are provided through the college, including health, career, and residence support. In addition to the student services provided by Manor, student organizations promote a variety of events to increase student involvement.

From Theater Guild to the volunteer Student Senate, student organizations have a significant and positive impact on student life. Athletics add another dimension to student life for spectators and athletes. Four intercollegiate programs energize Manor College's sports fans. Both men's and women's teams compete on the soccer fields and basketball courts as the Blue Jays. Manor College is proud of its successful tradition of athletics and its membership in the National Junior College Athletic Association, which sponsors national championships.
