Milligan is a four-year private Christian liberal arts college in beautiful northeast Tennessee. Milligan's unique mission is to prepare servant-leaders for various vocations. Over 1,000 students come from forty states and ten countries, and most live on campus for a true collegiate feel.

Recognized as one of the best baccalaureate colleges in the South by "U.S. News & World Report," Milligan has a strong academic program with more than twenty-five majors, including business, education, ministry, nursing, communications, biology, chemistry, fine arts, humanities, music, and psychology. The college's core liberal arts curriculum includes an interdisciplinary humanities program and bible courses.
World-class Faculty Members and Small Class Sizes Contribute to an Excellent Learning Environment
The small college's faculty members are central to the Milligan experience, forming advising relationships with students and serving as mentors, even after graduation. Seventy percent of the faculty have doctorates from universities throughout the world. A low student-faculty ratio means classes are small and students are taught by faculty members, not teaching assistants.
Off-campus learning experiences include internships, service-learning, and study abroad, with programs taking place in such diverse locations as Washington, D.C.; Los Angeles; Oxford, England; Australia; Costa Rica; China; Russia; and Uganda. Most of the campus, including dorms and student life areas, has wireless network access.
Milligan's Campus and Its Dynamic Surroundings Offer a Complete Collegiate Experience
The 181-acre campus is near the dynamic Tri-Cities area, with lots to do, from shopping and cultural events to hiking in the Appalachian Mountains or enjoying outdoor recreation on nearby lakes and rivers. Milligan is affiliated with the independent Christian Churches/Churches of Christ, but the interdenominational student body is diverse. Milligan has a close-knit campus community, with more than forty student clubs and an active student life program. An athletic powerhouse, Milligan has over twenty intercollegiate sports for men and women and has won more than forty conference titles and made over forty national tournament appearances in the past decade.
During the last ten years, the college has built a new state-of-the-art theater and convocation facility, a new teacher education center, a new six-court tennis complex, a physical plant, and a wellness center. Milligan has also renovated more than a dozen of its buildings.
Milligan's tuition is below the national average of similar private colleges. A generous merit and need-based financial aid program is available, with 96 percent of students receiving aid.
