The New England Institute (NEI) at Mount Ida is New England's foremost institution of higher education for funeral service. The Associate Degree in Funeral Service gives students the basic skills required to obtain a license. The Bachelor Degree in Funeral Home Management goes beyond the associate degree in funeral service by adding business and technical courses to prepare students to have more comprehensive knowledge for licensing exams.
Mount Ida offers a number of other specific career-oriented programs, including professional studies in dental hygiene and pre-law. The program in veterinary technology prepares students to work in private veterinary practices, equine and specialty practices, biomedical institutions, pharmaceutical industries, government agencies, diagnostic laboratories, zoos, and aquatic and wildlife centers.
