Warner Pacific College understands that professional preparation means more than amassing job skills. Students can choose from among twenty-six different majors, including the only urban studies major found among schools in the Coalition for Christian Colleges and Universities. For Warner Pacific Students, Christian Spirit Motivates Community Service in Portland and Abroad
In addition to challenging academics, Warner Pacific embraces its role as a light of Christ in the city. Community service is central to the Warner Pacific experience. Through various outreach projects and class projects, students engage in such activities as reading to school children, painting murals at local elementary schools, and doing landscaping at shelters for women and children. Beyond Portland, Warner Pacific's Missions program offers at least two major service trips a year to countries along the Pacific Rim, as well as to U.S. cities like San Francisco and New Orleans. Additionally, students can spend a semester studying abroad through the Best Semester program offered by the Coalition for Christian Colleges and Universities.
Dynamic and Lively Student Life Ranges From Intercollegiate Athletics to Events and Banquets
Outside the classroom, Warner Pacific works to make the college experience fun for students. The Warner Pacific campus is alive with activity, including residence life events, intramurals, banquets, drama, music, and multicultural events. Warner Pacific competes in the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) Division II and the Cascade Collegiate Conference. Women's sports include basketball, cross-country, golf, soccer, track and field, and volleyball. Men compete in basketball, cross-country, golf, soccer, and track and field. The men's basketball team has been nationally ranked since 2005, with appearances at the NAIA Division II national tournament for four years in a row, and the women's basketball team competed at nationals in 2004 and 2006.

In addition to the opportunities available to students on the Warner Pacific campus, the city of Portland also has much to offer. With a reliable bus and light-rail system, students can take advantage of diverse cultural and recreational activities in the city, including world-class museums and night-life. For students looking for recreation in the great outdoors, Oregon's snow-capped mountains, including Mt. Hood; the rugged coastlines of the Pacific; and the Columbia Gorge are all just a short drive away. Students can enjoy skiing, hiking, kayaking, windsurfing, and hiking, and discover why the Pacific Northwest is one of the most beautiful regions in North America.
