Overview

At the College of Wooster, Independent Minds Work Together

The College of Wooster is diverse and friendly. It is an unpretentious community of learners where students can be themselves, discover and pursue their passions, and forge lifelong bonds with faculty, coaches, staff, and one another. Wooster offers an excellent, comprehensive liberal arts education. A student finds that the senior project that culminates this education is like being in his or her favorite teacher's class, working on a topic of particular interest. By working one-on-one with a faculty adviser to conceive, organize, and complete this independent study project, each student at the college develops abilities valued by employers and graduate schools alike: initiative, self-confidence, independent judgment, creativity, and strong written and oral communication skills. This distinctive educational program makes The College of Wooster the nation's premier liberal arts college for undergraduate research.
