Multnomah University: A Faith-Based School Offering Strong Theology Programs
Set in the beautiful region surrounding Portland, Oregon, Multnomah University is a private Christian school dedicated to studying God's Word, offering vibrant theology programs, and nurturing a close-knit, supportive Christian community. Multnomah University is a faith-based school committed to instilling its students with solid Christian values though intense study of the Word of God, while providing them with personal, individual support both in and out of the classroom. More than 800 students come together on Multnomah's 23-acre campus from twenty-seven different denominations, including non-denominational, community, and Bible churches.
Multnomah University is also known as Multnomah Bible College. Each and every student graduates with a bachelor's degree in bible studies. Students may choose to supplement their major by personally choosing from among a number of additional majors and minors, all of which are centered around their personal ministry or vocational specializations and that will strengthen their future ministries. Multnomah University, accredited by the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities, also offers a Seminary Program.

Student life has many facets. Two varsity sports programs, men's basketball and women's volleyball, are supplemented by intramural sports activities such as soccer, ultimate Frisbee, and basketball. Students can also participate in the esteemed Ambassador Choir or Exodus Choir or play in the worship bands. Multnomah's associated ministries touch the lives of many individuals as students engage in numerous volunteer activities as they fulfill the bible college's mission to spread the Word of God. During more than 100,000 hours of community service and ministry each semester, Multnomah's students help beautify the city and improve the quality of life of its residents and make Multnomah one of the finest faith-based schools in the Pacific Northwest. Christian Community Thrives Through Associated Ministries
Multnomah Bible College is a comprehensive college with a tightly knit Christian community. Its core curriculum includes general education classes substantiated with a Christian world-view. Every undergraduate student at Multnomah University pursues a Bachelor or Arts or Bachelor of Science degree in bible studies, taking at least 52 hours of classes related to the study and interpretation of the Bible. This requirement, 8 credits of which also count toward the general education requirement, helps to instill a deep understanding of the Bible and the Word of God and build the Christian community. Adding to the breadth and depth of the theology programs and associated ministries offered on campus, some 220 seminary students join more than 500 undergraduates on campus. Undergraduate students may choose to pursue a second major or a minor in one of thirteen ministry-specialization programs that range from elementary education to youth ministry and from biblical Hebrew to music. The particularly strong journalism department provides opportunities for students to fill internships and staff positions at the college's award-winning publications "The Voice" and "The Ambassador."
The rich student life is centered around Multnomah's tight-knit Christian community. It is very common to see faculty, staff, and students dining together, socializing outside of the classroom, ministering to the poor and hungry, evangelizing, or participating in one or more of the other associated ministries. Weekly and daily church services are popular on campus, as are the sporting events, charitable events, and various activities sponsored by student organizations. The entire Christian community at Multnomah lives, learns, and breathes the Word of God every day.
