Christian Community Thrives Through Associated Ministries

Multnomah Bible College is a comprehensive college with a tightly knit Christian community. Its core curriculum includes general education classes substantiated with a Christian world-view. Every undergraduate student at Multnomah University pursues a Bachelor or Arts or Bachelor of Science degree in bible studies, taking at least 52 hours of classes related to the study and interpretation of the Bible. This requirement, 8 credits of which also count toward the general education requirement, helps to instill a deep understanding of the Bible and the Word of God and build the Christian community. Adding to the breadth and depth of the theology programs and associated ministries offered on campus, some 220 seminary students join more than 500 undergraduates on campus. Undergraduate students may choose to pursue a second major or a minor in one of thirteen ministry-specialization programs that range from elementary education to youth ministry and from biblical Hebrew to music. The particularly strong journalism department provides opportunities for students to fill internships and staff positions at the college's award-winning publications "The Voice" and "The Ambassador."

The rich student life is centered around Multnomah's tight-knit Christian community. It is very common to see faculty, staff, and students dining together, socializing outside of the classroom, ministering to the poor and hungry, evangelizing, or participating in one or more of the other associated ministries.
