The Department of Health Sciences at Seton Hill University has a long and respected history of educating health care professionals. Through a co-operative degree program with Lake Erie College of Osteopathy Medicine, pre-med students can complete their undergraduate studies at Seton Hill before going on to specialize in osteopathy studies at LECOM.
In a similar program, pre-pharmacy students can earn an undergraduate Bachelor of Science degree in Biology at SHU and then complete their Doctorate in Pharmacy at LECOM. There are two annual study away programs for which students can register in the M-Term and J-Term. There is, however, a limit as to how many students can be accepted each semester so applicants are encouraged to register as early as possible.
In all SHU's study programs there is a strong emphasis on developing excellent communication skills, critical thinking mechanisms, and making a positive contribution to a community. Learning is as much through academic study as it is through personal experiences. Students are encouraged to apply what they have learned, and develop ways of serving others so that they make a positive contribution to society.

Financial Aid Packages Offered at Seton Hill University Help Students Earn Degrees of Choice
SHU offers various merit- and need-based scholarships that offer different levels of fee subsidies. Several scholarships in the Department of Visual and Performing Arts reward students who display remarkable talent or are deemed to have unique potential. Students who receive scholarships do not need to repay them, but they do need to maintain a high level of academic results in order to secure the scholarships for the duration of their undergraduate degree.
Seton Hill University participates in Division II college athletics and many students with exceptional sporting talent have completed their studies as a result of sports scholarships. Some scholarships may be combined with loans, grants, and work-study programs in order to cover tuition costs.
Honors scholarships are awarded to freshmen that enroll in Seton Hill's Honors Program and maintain high academic standards.
