Trinity College Overview
Trinity College is a residential college located in the heart of a city - Hartford, Connecticut. Trinity offers vast opportunities for students that combine the traditional classroom experience with hands-on learning. Students are encouraged to expand their knowledge through experiential learning in the city, participating in intellectual conversations and on- and off- campus activities, and engaging in community service and internships throughout the city.
A Trinity education is exemplified by the close, personal interactions that students have with their professors. Students are challenged to become critical and creative thinkers, and to develop their communication skills so that they can become effective, responsible citizens and live meaningful, fulfilling lives after graduation.
A Wide Variety of Programs are Available at Trinity College
Trinity College students may choose from a wide variety of liberal arts degrees and courses of study, each with a curriculum that is designed to broaden and deepen knowledge in that field. Some of the most popular courses of study include arts, human rights, Italian studies, Jewish studies, biology, Arabic, Chinese, math, chemistry, neuroscience, classics, philosophy, computer science, physics, economics, political science, psychology, engineering, law, English, environmental science, French, sociology, Spanish, pre-med, and history.
Trinity students are required to take one course in each of five categories including the arts, humanities, natural sciences, numerical and symbolic reasoning, and social sciences. However, they are also given the flexibility to experiment with interests, developing new ones and exploring old ones, in order to find a specialized major field.
Trinity College Has a Passionate and Inspirational Faculty
The faculty at Trinity has passion for learning and teaching. The school boasts over 200 full-time faculty members, 90 percent of whom hold the highest academic degree possible in their field of specialty. Student to faculty ratio is 10:1.

Trinity College Study Abroad
Study abroad is a critical element of a Trinity College education. Students have the option to study away for one semester, an academic year, or in a Trinity-administered summer program.
Trinity College students study away on more than 80 domestic and international programs in 40 nations all over the globe. Through study abroad, students from every major earn academic credit toward their undergraduate degrees, fulfilling many minor and major requirements.
Students who receive financial aid are normally able to use that aid for a study away program approved by the college. Over 50 percent of every Trinity College graduating class participates in a study abroad program; there are program options available to meet the needs of almost any student.
Recently, students have studied in countries including Italy, England, China, France, Trinidad, Australia, Japan, Sweden, Scotland, Ireland, Egypt, Chile, Israel, Russia, Spain, Jordan, India, Turkey, Austria, Chile, Costa Rica, Ghana, Greece, Mexico, Germany, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Denmark, South Africa, Turks and Caicos, and Argentina.
Student Life at Trinity College
There are over 2,200 students living and learning together in the Trinity College residence halls. Students participate in all forms of campus activities, internships, service learning in Hartford, and study abroad programs. Trinity students explore the humanities and sciences and sharpen their artistic skills, play club and varsity sports, and participate in fitness and intramural activities.
Trinity College offers a diversity of student cultural houses, organizations, and clubs, providing a myriad of opportunities for students who have varying interests and come from diverse backgrounds.
The campus is home to numerous clubs and organizations including Hillel, the Newman Club, La Voz Latina, the Asian American Student Association (AASA), and Imani, the Black Students organization. Several musical groups, such as the a cappella singers After Dark, the Accidentals, and the Trinitones, perform regularly on campus.
